Finally choosing a t shirt to throw on and feeling the warmth, he finally emptied his lungs, a faint stream smoke like air came out of his mouth and quickly faded away into the dead of the night once again. "Eh, I'm not fussed really, quiet bar, big bar, whatever, let's just go get absolutely shitfaced." He said with a smile, his voice suddenly becoming slightly louder; a clear indicator that the alcohol had hit him, hard. He decided it'd be better to follow Liam's lead to the bar that they were going to, he didn't want to leave him in a bar later that was too far from the guy's house and go home, that was if he was even going home. Annabelle would cop at him if he text her like 'soz bruv got a shag'. Still, he continued on, his night wasn't about to draw to a close just because he left his daughter at home.
He was always cautious about bringing her up with people, it might put other guys off of him, he couldn't see why, she was getting tot he age where she would be totally independent anyway, she was in that group at school with the popular/jocky type kids, so he knew full well she was going to end up having a big social life unless she cocked it up somehow, but with the money that Ryan had and the social skills she had and the parties that she threw, he couldn't see that happening any time soon; give it another year or two and he was going to be ready to let her throw parties where they can all get smashed and drunk, obviously he'd have to buy all the alcohol but he was down with that. He wasn't about to deprive his daughter of a decent teenage life, he lived the exact same kind of life, except he got kicked out at eighteen. However, he did extremely well for himself and he knew it, he was proud of his achievements, but he wasn't the type to bang on about them.
Stumbling down the road he decided it was time to pick up conversation again, he raised his arm and scratched the back of his head where he had an itch then saw some woman and her partner having a bit of a domestic. Thinking about it, he had never had a night out without seeing a couple argue or two lads get in a fight, or something that was becoming more common, women fighting. Not just arguing, proper pulling each other to the ground and scrapping. "Well, they're obviously having a good night out" He chuckled, not even staring subtly, proper full on staring at them. Being subtle was not his strong point, he was wonderful at bullshitting to people when he needed to, but being subtle about staring at events was something he did not do well at all. "Well if you want, we could just go have a few chilled drinks at yours or mine, I'm not fussed, if you're not up for the bars." He suggested with a small smile, he was drunk, in a good mood and wouldn't mind getting to know this guy a bit more. The plan was to get his number by the end of the night.

Since Ryan was amenable to either, Liam paused a moment, trying to decide where to go next. A quiet bar for conversation would be nice, getting to continue the flirtatious conversation Liam had been aiming for from the moment he'd gone over to Ryan at the bar. However, going to dance would have the upside of making it much more acceptable for him to turn some of the flirting a little more physical. Going back and forth between the two bars, he finally settled on the place closer to his home. After all, if the goal was going back to one of their places later in the evening, heading in the direction Liam's wouldn't be a bad thing. "Let's go to the bar, have a few there. See where that gets us. We could always go out dancing a bit later." And if they did go dancing, there was always a good chance the evening would more certainly end up in someone's apartment. So back onto the sidewalk and heading the short walk towards the bar, a cute little place he spent quite a few evenings.
Ryan's obvious stumble made Liam rethink the bar almost instantly. Liam was a bit tipsy himself, alcohol slowly kicking in more, but he'd had less time at the bar and usually his alcohol tolerance was on the high end, something he often said was a gift of his Scottish blood. Maybe going to the bar wasn't the best option. But before he could suggest something else, he and Ryan happened upon something quite unexpected. The couple fighting on the street drew Liam's attention almost instantly and he shook his head, nearly rolling his eyes at the two women. He rarely got into actually knock down fist fights and never quite understood people getting into them himself. One of the women nearly smacked her head into the cement and Liam winced at the sight. "God, they'll be feeling that later." He shook his head again, mentally thanking god he never really was the sort to to get into those kind of fights.
Stopping, Liam glanced at Ryan and nodded slightly. "Not a bad idea... Why don't you come to mine? I'm a few blocks up." And off he led them, walking down the street, away from the feuding couple and towards his apartment building. They did pass the bar that Liam had initially been going to take Ryan to. He gestured at it, steps slowly slightly as he pointed out the slick looking place, the door propped open by a bouncer sitting on a bar stool just in front. "That's where I was suggesting before. Maybe we can go there another night?" As Liam said that, he nearly winced. He barely knew Ryan, suggesting going out another night wasn't really what he'd had in mind when he'd started trying to pick up the Brit at the bar. But Ryan was very good looking and good company so... Well, maybe a proper planned date could happen. Maybe.
Typing in the door code at his building, Liam pushed open the door and led Ryan in. Usually he'd climb the two flights of stairs but feeling not totally steady and figuring Ryan might be feeling about the same, he headed down the corridor to the elevator. At the door to the apartment, Liam dug in his pocket for a moment, finding the keys and opening the door, remembering just as he pushed open the door and spotted the flash of black fur that Aíne, his dog, rarely let him enter the apartment without greeting him. "Oh, god, sorry, I forgot to mention Aíne." Liam said as the large Burnese Mountain dog made herself a nunsince, bumping into Liam in greeting until he grabbed her collar. "She doesn't bite or anything." Looking down at the dog, he nudged her back into the apartment and aside so Ryan could enter, then release her collar as soon as the door was shut. "Go lay down girl." She stared at them, ears perked up until Liam shooed her again she ambled back over to her spot under the kitchen table. Liam offered Ryan an apologetic smile, gesturing for the other man to follow him into the living room. "Let me get us something to drink. Any preference?" He flicked the light switch on in the living room and headed for the kitchen, flicking on another light switch as he went, opening a cabinet and standing in front of it, peering into the shelves. "I've got beer, whiskey, um.... there's tequila here, bourbon...." Glancing over his shoulder, he grinned slyly at Ryan. "Or you could come over here, take a look, see if there's something you want."
